European Lithium Limited (ASX: EUR), an exploration and project development company active in the lithium sector, has been temporarily placed on a trading halt by the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) pending the release of an announcement by the company regarding material information.
The halt came into effect on Monday, June 7th 2021, and is anticipated to remain in place until the earlier of Tuesday, June 8th 2021 or when the announcement is released to the market.
In recent months, EUR has received increased attention as investors become more interested in the European lithium market, with the company currently eye-balling the development of its Wolfsberg Lithium Project in Austria.
Beyond the ongoing exploration and drilling activities at the Wolfsberg Project, European Lithium is also assessing the viability of a brine project on the Salinbas concession, located in the Inner Anatolian Plateau in Turkey.
At this stage it remains unclear as to what the material information could relate to or what European Lithium is looking to announce, although shareholders should stay tuned for the announcement due shortly.
